Silver Fern Equine Services is now offering Ready Set Trot – a fun and exciting program for young people who want to give equestrian sports a try.
The course is aimed at young person with or without horses. During the course, they will learn how to behave around horses in a safe manner, and will also be taught about the care and wellbeing of horses. By the end of the four-unit (Ribbon) course, the student would have the necessary skills and knowledge to be around horses, and can move on to Pony Club or whatever discipline they wish to pursue. A certificate is awarded on successful completion of each Ribbon.
This is a great activity for young people to try a new sport. The course is conducted over a school term for a 1 1/2 (one and a half) hour session per week. Our centre provides all the necessary equipment as well as an Equestrian Australia Coach who will facilitate the lessons. So participants are assured of learning correct techniques in a safe environment.
Our training program is aimed at all 9 to 12 year olds.
